Gutters in Orange Park, Checked From the Roof Edge Down

Good gutters keep water off your fascia, away from your foundation and out of your flower beds. We start by looking at how your roof actually sheds water, then tell you plainly whether your gutters need a repair, an adjustment or a new run.

What Gutter Work Covers, and When It Makes Sense

A gutter only works if it is the right size, hung at the right slope and emptied by enough downspouts. When one of those is off, water spills over the front edge, sits in the trough or dumps beside the house. The damage shows up slowly: soft fascia boards, staining on the walls, washed-out soil and a damp crawlspace or slab edge.

Because gutters hang from the roof edge, we look at both together. We check the drip edge, the last course of shingles or metal panels, the fascia behind the gutter and where each downspout empties. Sometimes the fix is a few new hangers and a re-pitch. Sometimes the run is past saving. You hear which one it is, and why, before anything is priced.

What Our Gutter Service Includes

Roof edge and fascia check
We look behind the gutter, not just at it. Rotted fascia or a missing drip edge will ruin a new gutter within a few seasons, so we find it first and show you photos.
Re-pitching and rehanging
Gutters sag as hangers loosen. We reset the slope so water runs toward the downspouts and replace failed hangers with hidden hangers spaced closely enough to carry a full trough.
Seam, end cap and outlet repair
Leaking corners and end caps are resealed or replaced. Where an old sectional gutter leaks at every joint, we tell you honestly whether resealing will hold.
New continuous aluminum gutters
When replacement is the right call, we form one-piece aluminum runs to fit your roof's length, with joints only at corners. We match size and color to your home and to the amount of roof draining into each run.
Downspouts and discharge
We work out how much roof drains toward each corner and set downspouts to match. Extensions or splash blocks then carry the runoff out so it soaks in well clear of the slab rather than cutting a channel along the wall.

Signs Your Gutters Need Attention

  • Overflow during a hard rain

If water pours over the outer lip in a heavy afternoon storm, the trough is blocked, too small for the roof above it or tilted away from its outlet.

  • A dipping or leaning run

A gutter that bows between hangers or tips outward from the fascia is carrying standing water, and that load grows with each storm.

  • Peeling paint or soft fascia

Paint that bubbles along the roof edge, or wood that gives under a thumb, usually means water is getting behind the gutter.

  • Trenches and splash marks below

Washed-out mulch, exposed roots or dirt splashed up the wall point to overflow or a downspout that empties too close to the house.

  • Plants growing in the trough

Pine needles and oak leaves break down into soil. If something has sprouted up there, water has been sitting for a long time.

How a Gutter Visit Runs

  1. 1

    A careful look first

A technician walks the perimeter, checks the roof edge and fascia, and runs water where it helps to see the flow. You get photos of what we found and a plain explanation.

  2. 2

    An honest recommendation

We tell you whether repair, re-pitching or replacement fits, and give you a written estimate that lists each piece of the work. There is no pressure to decide on the spot.

  3. 3

Work day with your home protected

Ladders are set on stabilizers so they never rest on the gutter, and we keep plants and walkways clear. Old gutters are taken down, any fascia repairs are made, then new runs are formed and hung.

  4. 4

    Flow check and haul-away

Before packing up, we pour water into each run and watch it reach the outlet. Old metal, loose fasteners and roof debris leave with us.

What Moves the Cost of Gutter Work

Gutter pricing depends far more on your particular house than on a per-foot number. We price after we have seen the roof edge, so the estimate reflects what is really there. If the job is larger than expected, financing is available.

Run length and corner count
The total footage of gutter sets the starting point. Each corner is mitered, fastened and sealed by hand, so a roofline with many jogs takes longer to build than a simple rectangle.
Gutter size and downspouts
A larger roof area draining to one run may need a wider gutter and more downspouts to handle a hard summer downpour.
Condition of the fascia
Rotted boards have to be replaced before anything is hung. We cannot always see the full extent until the old gutter comes down, and we tell you right away if that changes the scope.
Ladder height and site access
Second-story eaves, ground that falls away under the roofline and narrow gaps between houses all mean more setup time and slower, more careful work.

Answers About Gutter Work

Something not covered here? (904) 849-2320

Can my existing gutters be repaired instead of replaced?

Many can. Loose hangers, a couple of dripping corners or a slope that has drifted out of line are usually worth repairing. When the metal is kinked along its length, or an old sectional system leaks at most of its joints, a new continuous run usually costs less over the years than repeated patching. We show you photos of what we see before you choose.

Should I replace my gutters when I get a new roof?

Not always, but it is the easiest time to do it, because the drip edge and fascia are exposed. If your gutters are in good shape we can remove and rehang them during a roof replacement. We will say so if they are worth keeping.

Why does water still overflow after I clean my gutters?

Clean gutters can still overflow if they are too small for the roof area above them, pitched backward or short on downspouts. Valleys that send a heavy stream into one corner are a common cause. Those are fixable once we see the flow.

Are storm-damaged gutters covered by insurance?

Gutters dented or torn loose by a storm are often part of a wind claim, alongside roof damage. We offer free post-storm inspections, document what we find and work directly with your insurance adjuster. Coverage itself is your insurer's decision.

Do you put gutters on every side of the house?

Only where they are needed. Some roof edges shed very little water or drain onto a spot that handles it well. We recommend gutters where runoff is causing, or will cause, a problem.
